  1. Chrome

Chrome is the most common finish you will find across in studios and households.

Chrome poles have a regular grip and most people prefer them.

On the contrary, the chrome finish tents to wear off over time and it has been known that the material below the finish may cause some allergies to a small percentage of users.

Dancer have also stated that it may be slippery at first but once they are warmed up the stick perfectly!

Color: Silver

  1. Titanium Gold

Is electronically coated for an enhanced grip. Titanium gold is considered equivalent in grip to chrome finish. It has gold color. Titanium has a regular grip. As this finish is done atop of the chrome, the gold finish tents to wear off over time and it has been known that the material below the finish may cause some allergies to a small percentage of users.

Color: Gold

Pros: Shiny gold colour. Regular grip

Cons: Wear off over time, may cause allergies, may need worm up before use

Available brands: X-Pole: http://www.devadanceshop.com/en/products/STULOI/X-Pole/

  1. Stainless Steel

Stainless steel, is not a top coat unlike the other finishes described above. It is made from solid steel, it is tolerant in time and use. Your stainless steel pole will last longer than any other finish. It is great for those who suffer from allergies. It has a good grip, great for inverts and spinning combos, although it is weather dependent; it has an optimal state in humid conditions.

Color: Silver

Pros: Good grip, common in dance studios and pole contests, solid and tolerant material, cheap in some brands, recommended for people with metal allergies

Cons: weather dependent grip

Available brands: X-Pole: http://www.devadanceshop.com/en/products/STULOI/X-Pole/

  1. Brass

The best grip in metal finishes on poles!

The brass pole is an alloy of zinc and copper (as copper alone is not solid enough to handle weight), solid made. This means the surface does not wear off, and it is also recommended in dancers who may have metal allergies.

The brass pole surface may need polishing from time to time.

It is widely used in hot countries.

Color: Copper gold

Pros: Very good grip, solid material, color, recommended for people with metal allergies

Cons: (rarely) needs polishing, may need warm up before use, not best grip with humidity

Available brands: X-Pole: http://www.devadanceshop.com/en/products/STULOI/X-Pole/

  1. Powder Coated

The Powder coated pole comes in colors; you may find them in our website in Black and Pink

It is very sticky and better grip than most finishes. It is recommended for those who want better in grip than the regular metal poles. You will come across them in some studios.

The reason to try the coated pole is the color and the enhanced grip.

Color: Black, Pink

Pros: Very good grip, comes in colors, smooth texture, cheap

Cons: not common in contests

Available brands: X-Pole, Sun Pole (manufactured poles upon order): http://www.devadanceshop.com/en/products/STULOI/X-Pole/

  1. Silicone

Ohh...silicone. The Chinese Pole!

You can dance with your clothes on, for those who tend to get cold easily!

It has the ultimate grip, as you do not need to have direct contact with the skin in order to perform on silicon pole. Allows dancers to perform pole dancing moves and extreme combos that require extra strength in grip, also climbs and drops. Silicon poles come in colors too; you may find them in our website in Black and Pink.

**If you already own a pole then you can just buy the pole tubes from the same company

Color: Black, Pink

Pros: Best possible grip, comes in colors, grip with clothes

Cons: not common in contests, not good for spins, most expensive, unknown if material is durable in extensive use (?)

Available brands: X-Pole: http://www.devadanceshop.com/en/products/STULOI/X-Pole/

Always remeber that the best grip is different to each person as it has much to do with skin complex, weather and needs. Now you can choose the best pole finish for you! :)
